Greatest Ballooning Experience: My greatest ballooning experience was during the 2005 Canton all of Fame Balloon Race. I was the designated “hare” balloon on Friday night. My daughter Elizabeth’s boyfriend, Phil, proposed to Elizabeth in the basket during the flight. Luckily she said yes otherwise I would have had to drop Phil out of the balloon over Canton. Bob Zanella was the only one to come close to me that night.

When did you start flying? 1985

Outstanding Achievements: Ranked 5th place in the 2006 NABA rankings, 2005 1st place at the Ohio Challenge in Middletown, 1st at the 2005 Canton Hall of Fame Teams Competition along with Denny Welser and Jim Wannamacher.

How long have you flown Ashland? Not quite as many times as Bob Zanella

How did you name your balloon? The first owner named Arrythmis after a Pink Floyd album, Dark Side of the Moon. I liked the design so much that when the first Arrythmia wore out I had another one built.
